Sound familiar?

  • Every inquiry waits in line until the one person who can size a sidewall belt has time.
  • The sizing logic lives in a spreadsheet that only its author fully understands.
  • Two engineers, two answers — the design rules exist in one person’s head, not in a system.
  • Your most experienced engineer spends hours on routine sizing instead of the hard problems.

⚠ In this option the pockets are narrow and deep relative to the cleat height. Such pockets may not fill completely during loading, and during overhead discharge material can wedge and remain in the pocket (carry-back, build-up, increased cleaning and wear). Verify filling and residual discharge with your material — especially if moist or sticky — or choose the option with the larger cleat pitch.

Pocket Designer — proposals instead of guesswork

You know the conveying task, not necessarily the matching sidewall/cleat system. The Pocket Designer proposes one — ranked, with values you can adopt and the risks stated on the card itself.

Mistakes get caught before they ship

Built-in design rules check every configuration — and tell you in plain language what to fix. This is what a costly re-order looks like BEFORE it happens:

⚠ Narrow, deep pockets — verify filling and residual discharge with your material.

Every design runs against explicit rules: minimum cleat pitch, the free-space criterion for the base belt, minimum pulley diameters — the checks an experienced engineer runs in their head, applied to every single design.

And when a geometry cannot be built at all, no result is produced in the first place:

Not buildable

The requested usable width of 700 mm does not fit geometrically into the belt width of 800 mm — sidewall feet and edge-free zone together need more room than the belt offers.

To keep an invalid design from being passed on, this state deliberately offers no belt recommendation, no capacity figures and no PDF. This makes the design buildable:

Reduce usable width to 450 mmIncrease belt width to 1,150 mm

What you gain

Speed

Typically under 5 minutes instead of 2–4 hours per design — quote while the inquiry is still hot.

Consistency

Same input, same rules, same result — for every engineer, every time.

Engineering confidence

Built-in design rules (cleat pitch, free-space criterion, pulley diameters) flag risk before it ships.

Commercial advantage

Respond days faster than competitors still doing this by hand.

Founding-customer program

Become one of our first ten reference customers

Designer Pro is new to the market — and instead of a bought logo wall, we would rather offer you something real: as one of the first ten founding customers you get 30 % off your first year, a price guarantee on your list price for the whole life of your subscription, and a direct line to the development team.

In return, we may name your company as a reference: your logo on our website and a short quote after around three months of use — nothing is published without your approval.

You start with the regular free trial. You secure your founding-customer status when you upgrade — first ten companies only.

Why you can trust the numbers

Our design methodology is protected know-how built in years of real-world practice — we do not publish the formulas. What we do instead is make everything that matters checkable: you see every input and every result value, every design runs against explicit engineering rules, and every calculation model is validated against real serial designs before release.

Validated against real projects

Every calculation model is verified against real-world serial designs before release — steep-incline and vertical.

Explicit design rules

The checks follow the engineering practice of experienced belt designers — made explicit and applied to every design.

Calculated in Germany

Every design runs on our servers in Germany. The result returns to you immediately.

Your data is never stored

Project inputs and results are not saved — nothing is retained, nothing is shared with third parties.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. You start with just an email confirmation — no payment details required.
What happens after the 14 days?
Without an upgrade, access simply pauses. Your account stays in place for 90 days in case you decide to upgrade later — your project calculations themselves are never stored anyway (see next question).
Is my project data safe? Where is it stored?
Your project data is not stored at all. Each calculation runs directly on our server in Germany and the result is returned to you immediately — nothing is saved, and nothing is shared with third parties.
How do I know the results are correct if I can't see the formulas?
For IP reasons we show inputs, result values and drawings — not the formulas behind them. Instead, every calculation model is validated against real-world reference projects before release, and every design is checked by explicit engineering rules (cleat pitch, free-space criterion, minimum pulley diameters). You see every input and every result value, so you can sanity-check any design against your own experience.
Which belt types are covered?
The standard classes for steep-incline and vertical conveying: sidewalls from 80 to 600 mm (WK, WKS, WKXS), T- and TC-type cleats from 75 to 560 mm, pocket geometry by free-space criterion, and a base belt recommendation including tensile class and pulley diameters.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. Your subscription covers your entire company — there is no per-seat price. If several colleagues need individual logins, we set them up on request at no extra cost.
Is there a limit on designs?
On paid plans: no — designs are unlimited. The trial includes 25 free designs for the whole trial period — enough to evaluate the tool thoroughly.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. An informal e-mail to support@yostro.com is enough — linked directly from your account; access continues until the end of your paid period.
